How Cisco Hopes to Leverage IoT for Growth
As legacy networking hardware firm Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO) attempts to stay ahead of a rapidly transforming technology sector, the booming Internet of Things (IoT) space is an obvious target. The San Jose, Calif.-based tech giant says the number of IoT devices have outnumbered humans on earth since 2008. That number is only expected to skyrocket, reaching 34 billion within four years.
