On February 02, 2023, Elliptic, one of the leaders in AI Virtual Smart Sensors™ and a global AI software company, announced its partnership with Infineon Technologies AG, head of the consortium of European companies in securing the ‘Listen2Future’ project. The project enables the improvement of integrated hardware audio sensors with Elliptic Labs’ AI Virtual Sensor Platform™ and targets the future smart home devices for innovative human wellness features.

A three-year program, the Listen2Future project is financed by investments from industry, has been awarded 30 million euros, earned subsidies from participating European countries and the KDT-JU (Key Digital Technologies Joint Undertaking) program of the European Union.

With participation in the Listen2Future project, Elliptic Labs will focus on two innovations for the future: Monitoring of human health, with a focus on detecting falls, and enabling a sensor ‘mesh network’ to improve and expand wellness monitoring to larger physical areas in multiple, disparate smart home devices with the help of Elliptic Labs’ AI Virtual Connection Sensor™. Elliptic Labs will utilize ultrasound, AI, and sensor fusion to achieve two goals while guaranteeing privacy and data protection by leveraging the AI Virtual Smart Sensor Platform.

CEO of Elliptic Labs, Laila Danielsen, said, “Representing the EU in the Listen2Future project with Infineon truly shows that Elliptic Labs holds a meaningful technological leadership role within Europe and globally.” She also said, “Being recognized as a thought leader in AI, ultrasound, and sensor fusion enables Elliptic Labs to help define the future role of technology in our lives. This further strengthens our team to continue our push to create devices that are smarter, greener, and more human-friendly.”
