The challenge will be not just to gather and secure data from a hugely diverse range of sources, but also to make sense of a wide variety of structured and unstructured formats. This paper considers how loT techniques apply to a smart grid environment, examines the data management, analysis, and security requirements and introduces the concept of a 'data superstore' as the foundation for successful grid infrastructures of the future."
