ZingBox survey finds misconceptions surrounding IoT security in healthcare sector

More than 90% of healthcare IT networks have IoT devices connected to them, while more than two thirds of respondents to a new survey say traditional security solutions are sufficient to secure IoT-connected medical devices. The survey, conducted by IoT security solutions provider ZingBox, highlights the state of ‘misconceptions’ in the healthcare industry, according to the company. More than three quarters (76%) of IT decision makers within healthcare organizations were confident or ‘over-confident’ about the security of the connected devices on the network.
