Carrier IoT venture promises RTU energy savings
Carrier has entered into a collaboration with cloud-based energy savings technology specialist Encycle to increase efficiency of its rooftop units. Carrier Connect wifi thermostats can now interface with Encycle’s cloud-based Swarm Logic energy savings technology and its IoT-enabled services. The interface connects Carrier’s thermostat into Encycle’s networked, cloud-based system that claims HVAC energy consumption and demand savings of 10-20%, along with real-time remote access and simple control over a building’s temperature and humidity.
