TRAFFIC TECHNOLOGIES EXPANDS TO THE INTERNET OF THINGS
Road system technologies manufacturer Traffic Technologies (ASX: TTI) is branching out into smart city sensors and data analysis as it embraces the Internet of Things (IoT), The Melbourne company will develop with Monash Council and Monash University, both in Melbourne’s south-east,a smart city control system of sensors, communications equipment and data analysis technologies. The development, partly funded by a $700,000 federal government grant, will deploy the company’s i-sense platform, initially in the city of Oakleigh. Monash Mayor Shane McCluskey said: “There is no doubt the community will benefit from the connected platform that will provide real information about the Oakleigh precinct, and also allow Council to have an increased ability to be responsive to managing and maintaining assets and services.” Traffic Technogies is best known for its traffic lights and controllers, portable roadside technology, variable message signs, road lighting, and directional and regulatory traffic signs.
