Industrial Internet Consortium focuses on smart manufacturing

The Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), a global organization seeking to accelerate the industrial internet of things (IIoT), has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association (MESA). Under the terms of the agreement, both entities agreed to work together to advance their shared interests. The MoU stipulates that the IIC and MESA, a not-for-profit organization comprised of manufacturing companies and information technology suppliers, will work together to align efforts to maximize interoperability, portability, security and privacy for the industrial internet.
