Avast and Stanford University present findings from the largest empirical analysis of the state of IoT device ownership globally Avast, a cybersecurity software firm, in collaboration with Stanford University, has found that about 40% of households across the globe now contain at least one IoT device. In Western Europe, that number is 57%, bringing with it an associated growth in cyber security risks.
