Impinj introduces RAIN RFID Reader Chip for Enterprise IoT

Impinj
The Impinj E910 RAIN RFID reader chip for next-generation enterprise-grade readers that can quickly and reliably discover and engage a high volume of connected items, such as retail apparel, pallets, airline baggage, and automobile parts, was released by Impinj, Inc., a leading RAIN RFID provider and Internet of Things pioneer. The Impinj E910 reader chip offers supply-chain automation, inventory management, loss prevention solutions, low power consumption, and ease of use that set the industry standard.

The Impinj E910 reader chip has the highest receive sensitivity of any reader chip currently on the market, at -94 dBm, allowing reader manufacturers to satisfy the speed and range demands of demanding RAIN RFID applications, including high-bay warehouse rack systems and fast-moving conveyors.

"The Impinj E910 reader chip will shepherd in a new era of RAIN RFID applications that connect trillions of everyday items. The E910 is the most highly integrated, easy to use and sensitive reader chip on the market today, unlocking enterprise RAIN RFID applications in retail, supply chain and logistics, automotive, aviation and myriad other market segments and opportunities,"

Chris Diorio, Impinj co-founder and CEO

The development of new readers can be accelerated by Impinj partners thanks to user-friendly developer tools and the Impinj R515 reader reference design. The reference design comes with thorough documentation and engineering drawings that enable IoT device manufacturers to accelerate time-to-market while maximizing the capabilities of the Impinj E910 reader chip in their devices.

The RAIN tag chips, reader chips, readers, and Impinj's partner ecosystem are all part of the Impinj platform, which is advanced by the Impinj E910.
