5G: Jumpstarting our digital future

December 4, 2018

It is my pleasure to contribute to the Information and Communications Technology Council’s report, 5G: Jumpstarting Our Digital Future. The report itself is timely. As early as next year, the introduction of 5G equipment to Canada promises to transform our telecommunications industry as we know it. The convergence of fixed wireless and mobile technology, illustrated through the introduction of the 5G trials already underway in Canada, has permanently blurred the lines separating fixed and mobile broadband. The result of this convergence is one concept: wireless broadband – something that will enable Canadians’ 5G connectivity in the years ahead.

IoT Redefines Brand Experience and Customer Engagement

whitePaper | February 8, 2023

The Internet of Things (IoT), with its ability to connect devices and enable data exchange through embedded sensors, is garnering much interest across industries. TCS Global Trend 1 Study 2015 , highlights some of the major business model changes that are taking place across industries due to the adoption of the IoT. For the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, the IoT offers widespread applicability across the value chain. CPG companies are likely to benefit the most by embedding sensors in products or services that touch end users directly, helping them drive consumer engagement throughout the consumption lifecycle. The IoT will also enable CPG companies to understand consumer needs better, thereby improving product designs or service models, leading to better brand loyalty and top-line growth.

The Right Approach to Zero Trust for IoT Devices

whitePaper | May 18, 2022

Networking and security teams have historically relied on protections at the network perimeter to secure the entire enterprise. The internal network was deemed trusted and secure. While everything outside was considered “dirty,” everything on the internal network was considered “clean,” and application traffic would flow unrestricted. However, recent and developing shifts in enterprise working models are having a far-reaching effect on the traditionally managed network perimeter for security.
