Boingo Supports End-to-End IoT Services for the Enterprise with Qualcomm IoT Services Suite and Ecosystem

Boingo Wireless, a total connectivity provider of distributed antenna systems (DAS), Wi-Fi and private networks, today announced ahead of Mobile World Congress Barcelona that it is collaborating with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc and the Qualcomm® Smart Cities Accelerator Program ecosystem to streamline the deployment of IoT devices for venue and enterprise customers. Using the Qualcomm IoT Services Suite, Boingo can bring together the hardware, software and platforms required to enable IoT projects and connect devices with its private network solution. Boingo Private Networks provide enterprises with a dedicated, secure wireless network that supports demanding IoT environments.

Kontron's KBox A-151-TGL for IoT edge and AI applications

A new industrial computer in box PC style, the KBox A-151-TGL, will be unveiled by Kontron, a top provider of IoT/Embedded Computing Technology (ECT), at embedded world 2022. The KBox A-151-TGL, which is based on 11th Gen Intel CoreTM or Celeron processors, provides adequate processing capability, even for demanding IoT edge or AI applications. As a unique feature, the system incorporates an expansion slot on the front (I/O Door) that may be used to add fieldbuses, graphical interfaces, serial or digital I/Os, and Ethernet interfaces, among other functionalities, to the KBox A-151-TGL. Additionally, the system can be upgraded to support WiFi 6, 4G/5G, or both. Particularly for demanding IoT gateway applications in industrial settings, the KBox A-151-TGL was created. The new box PC assists OEM manufacturers and system integrators in realizing the full potential of their IoT infrastructures. It is based on the 11th Gen Intel® CoreTM i3-1115G4E, i5-1145GRE/i5-1145G7, or i7-1185GRE/i7-1185G7E or the Intel Celeron processor 6305E with up to four processing cores and 4.4 GHz (burst) each. The high-end Intel Iris Xe graphics with 96 execution units, which users can use for taxing AI or IoT edge applications, are another feature of this generation's CoreTM i7 and CoreTM i5 processors. The new KBox A-151-TGL has four USB 3.2 ports and two RS232/422/485 interfaces in addition to two DisplayPorts and two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, one of which is a 2.5 GbE interface with TSN capabilities. The three M.2 expansion slots can be utilized to add a variety of features to the system, including NVMe SSD integration, fieldbus integration, and wireless technology integration, including 4G/5G or even WiFi 6 connectivity. The new expansion slot (I/O Door) on the system's front provides access to the majority of system expansions. Even in difficult industrial situations, the fanless, robust system architecture ensures a long service life and high system availability. The KBox A-151-TGL can be used in the temperature range of 0 °C to +50 °C or, at the user's discretion, in the additional extended temperature range of -40 °C to +65 °C. The KBox A-151-TGL can be mounted on a wall or on a DIN rail, making it simple to integrate into a variety of industrial environments.
