We are proud to be launching Geotab UK services as an authorised reseller. Geotab are the global market leader in Fleet Management and Fleet Telematics technology, with more than 2,000,000 vehicles deployed globally.

In addition to Fleet Tracking, Geotab captures rich Fleet Telematics data for vehicles and drivers to provide real operational insight in to your fleet. This includes driver risk analytics and coaching to help improve driver behaviours such as speeding, rapid acceleration/deceleration, and high RPM driving.

Further - as part of our ongoing efforts to promote energy-efficient technology - alongside renewable energy and EV charging solutions - we are particularly attracted to the level of Geotab electric vehicles support including Electric Vehicle Suitability Assessments.

Geotab supports a wide range of vehicles - including cars, vans, trucks, HGVs, EVs, and more - all on one cloud software platform. Our Geotab ProPlus plan even supports live location tracking every second, making it an ideal choice for organisations that require instant tracking such as emergency services.

Additionally, as a cyber security specialist we have been equally impressed with Geotab's focus on data security - with standard encryption, device obfuscation techniques, and optional integration with Cisco security access controls to keep valuable fleet data away from prying eyes.

Whether organisations are looking for simple business vehicle tracking solution with van trackers, or require a more comprehensive fleet tracking system with fleet telematics devices, then our fleet management software services can help them.

As an established wholesale telecommunications provider with our own billing platform, we look forward to bringing competitive Geotab pricing to UK organisations including the ability to bundle Geotab with other services - such as mobile SIM cards for driver mobile phones or tablets.

For more information on our Geotab solutions - or to learn about the other ways that we can support your field and fleet employees with modern technology - please contact us via phone or email.

Anritsu and Tech Mahindra establish IoT Experience Lab in Fremont, California

Anritsu | June 06, 2022

Tech Mahindra, a leading provider of digital transformation, consulting, and business re-engineering services and solutions, has announced the launch of an IoT (Internet of Things) Experience Lab in collaboration with Anritsu, a global provider of test and measurement solutions for wireline and wireless technologies used in commercial, private, military/aerospace, government, and other markets. It will allow efficient testing of 5G devices utilized in upcoming IoT use cases and will be located in Tech Mahindra's Fremont, CA campus. The lab aims to provide a simple, cost-effective environment for 5G IoT device manufacturers to evaluate device performance during pre-commercialization, ensuring higher product confidence. The IoT Experience Lab will serve as both an incubator and a research and development facility for IoT device manufacturers, allowing them to test their designs early in the development process and assist them to launch best-in-class IoT products. The partnership will rely on Tech Mahindra's use cases and Anritsu's easy automated smart application software, which performs functional, performance, stress, and regression tests automatically and generates user-friendly reports and logs to assess device performance. "The advances in 5G will aid the evolution of innovative use cases in IoT. While this creates new opportunities, the way the design and manufacturing engineers validate products and procedures must also keep pace with the more unique capabilities. Tech Mahindra's NXT.NOW™ strategy focuses on accelerating enterprises' 5G adoption. This collaboration with Anritsu to start an IoT Experience Lab at our Fremont facility is a significant step in this direction by enabling IoT device manufacturers to deliver high-quality solutions with much less time to market," Rohit Madhok, Global Head of Digital Engineering Services, Tech Mahindra. The Anritsu Radio Communication Test Station MT8000A, Radio Communication Analyzer MT8821C, Signalling Tester MD8475B, and Wireless Connectivity Test Set (WLAN) MT8862A are all part of the experience lab. Device OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) can use the lab to ensure that their products are working as intended in various verticals such as industrial IoT, telemedicine, driverless vehicles, smart cities, and virtual reality (VR). Robert E. Johnson, Anritsu Company General Manager and Vice President, said, "5G brings the advantages and efficiencies of wireless technology to applications that help define the 4th Industrial Revolution. Each use case creates unique operational challenges that require specific tests. Our collaboration with Tech Mahindra provides a resource for manufacturers to cost- and time-efficiently verify that their devices will operate according to specifications in the most challenging real-world environments."

AI-enabled Edge Application Introduced by Lexmark

Lexmark | March 23, 2022

Lexmark, a worldwide technology solutions leader, announced its latest addition to its Optra IoT solutions portfolio. Lexmark Optra Edge runs AI applications closer to the point of data generation at the edge, avoiding the need to move data to the cloud, allowing businesses to gain quick AI insights to improve productivity, safety, and sustainability. Organizations can use Optra Edge to sense, analyze, and act on real-time digital and physical data provided by IoT devices like cameras. Cost savings, better productivity, and a competitive advantage result as a consequence of this. According to IDC, spending on edge computing is expected to reach almost $274 billion by 2025. While the convergence of 5G and IoT is creating greater demand for computing power at the edge to fuel business transformation, it is also exponentially multiplying the amount of data available. We've designed Optra Edge so our customers can run innovative AI applications on the edge while still enjoying enterprise-grade management, holistic security, open standards, and ability to leverage their existing infrastructure." Vishal Gupta, Senior Vice President, Connected Technology and CITO of Lexmark. Optra Edge reduces or eliminates data processing latency and speeds up AI-driven insights from IoT devices. To that end, AI and machine learning (ML) apps running on Optra Edge devices access sensory data like sight, sound, vibration, and temperature in real-time, allowing for real-time decisions without delay. The solution uses containerized applications to secure sensitive information and keeps data local. It also employs secure-by-design measures to safeguard millions of Lexmark print devices worldwide. Manufacturers, in particular, will profit because they frequently have human or machine errors, which can result in essential parts being misplaced or out-of-spec items making it through the production line. "Lexmark's own success in identifying real-time insights at the edge through advanced analytics and anomaly detection for our core business served as the catalyst and inspiration for Optra Edge. We can share and relate our own experiences, as we aid other organizations with their edge AI strategy," said Sudhir Mehta, Global Vice President for Optra Engineering and Product Management at Lexmark.
