Hobbyists dominate smart home market

Majority of smart home developers are hobbyists, not professionals, according to a new report from Vision Mobile. Results come from the organization's Developer Economics survey and had 36 percent of respondents calling themselves hobbyists developing solutions for themselves, and another 32 percent identifying as "explorers," or those learning about the broader IoT field.
