Internet of Things (IoT) technology is set for rapid adoption once it reaches its "inflection" point, Emilio Umeoka, VP of APJ and worldwide partners at Splunk, told Channelnomics during the vendor's .conf2015 conference in Las Vegas this week. When asked how much longer it will take for IoT to become mainstream for enterprises, Umeoka said making predictions is hard, but he foresees adoption eventually seeing rapid acceleration.
