Taking A Longer View of IoT: Carnegie Technologies Partnership with Semtech

Carnegie Technologies and Semtech Corporation announced earlier this month at Mobile World Congress Americas they are working together on LoRa solutions as part of Carnegie’s launch of their Longview Internet of Things solution. Carnegie Technologies, based in Austin, Texas, has long been known for investing in innovation for high growth markets. Founded in 2010 following a successful 20-year history operating wireless networks and developing adjunct communications products, Carnegie Technologies eight years later is an interesting combination of strategy, research, innovation, lab, development and business model disruption, and with the introduction of Longview is now driving momentum in the IoT and Industrial IoT (IIoT) markets. With engineering teams on four continents, the company, which is the brainchild of mobile business pioneer Paul Posner, selected Semtech’s LoRa offering to accelerate their advance into the world of hyperconnected things, moving out from their expertise in the cellular core to next generation technologies out to the extreme edge.
