Aeris Provides Direct, Private Connection Between Aeris Fusion IoT Network and AWS Cloud Instance

Aeris | November 12, 2020

Secure, solid exchange of information from IoT devices to a cloud environment is a raising issue as organizations keep on scaling complex IoT solutions. To give a basic, affordable and compelling arrangement, Aeris, an IoT innovation pioneer, today presented Aeris Cloud Connect, which gives an immediate, private connection between the Aeris Fusion IoT Network and every client's AWS cloud instance.

Cloud Connect utilizes a fundamental MPLS (multi-convention name exchanging) connection to empower information from IoT devices to be moved legitimately to the cloud, without the requirement for a VPN and without sending information over the public web.

“Our customers worldwide have been seeking a means of better securing their data transfer from connected devices to the cloud,” said Amit Khetawat, Aeris vice president of products. “We know VPNs are costly and still vulnerable to internet traffic jams, and the public internet cannot provide the level of security businesses need. Our answer is Cloud Connect. It is secure, reliable and can be set up in hours,” he noted.

Key Cloud Connect benefits include:
  • Superior reliability and security. Cloud Connect offers better uptime contrasted with VPNs. It additionally kills introduction to the public web (a state of weakness) without presenting another expected purpose of disappointment (VPN) into the arrangement, improving start to finish unwavering quality and diminishing investigating time.
  • Faster time to market. Aeris Cloud Connect can be effectively arranged through a couple of drop-down menus in AWS in hours, quickening time to showcase. By examination, VPNs take 4-7 days to procure and physically design.
  • Lower latency and high performance. Cloud Connect's private foundation gives a quicker and unquestionably more steady connection than the public web, which is consistently dependent upon clog.
  • Cost savings. Cloud Connect gives these advantages to not exactly the expense of tantamount administrations, including VPN.

“Deploying and managing IoT solutions can be complex, requiring businesses to integrate and operationalize components from hardware, wireless connectivity, cloud environment, and potentially many other software stacks,” said Khetawat. “Aeris Cloud Connect is an important step toward bridging the often siloed network and cloud environments, providing material improvements in end-to-end IoT solution performance, scalability and cost efficiency.”

Security and Design are the biggest knots to untangle, according to the largest-ever IoT connectivity survey run by Kaleido Intelligence

IOT | June 10, 2022

Kaleido Intelligence, a leading connectivity market intelligence and consulting firm, has published the largest-ever survey of IoT connectivity. floLIVE, a leading IoT connectivity provider of advanced 5G network solutions and a full suite of global cellular connectivity services for IoT use cases, both privately and over the cloud, was one of the key industry experts that provided support for the survey commissioned by Kaleido Intelligence. Over 750 IoT professionals participated in the survey that explored the most important factors for IoT connectivity firms to provide, as well as identifying pain points for both those currently deploying IoT and those looking into it for the future. Topics covered in the survey included how IoT projects are managed, what the biggest concerns are, and what is required from IoT service providers. It was also crucial to examine the drivers for adoption of a range of promising technologies, such as eSIM and Private 5G Networks. Research highlights: Cellular IoT deployments continue to be issues of concern for businesses, with persistent concerns about security and service availability continuing to plague the space. End-to-end security ranked a #1 concern by both current and future IoT deployers. Respondents found it highly important to keep multinational solutions safe from permanent roaming restrictions. Almost all respondents expected connectivity providers to offer some form of security, with over half wanting advanced options, such as IP restrictions, traffic burst detection, unconfigured ports and more. Hardware design and support is seen as the biggest challenge by non-adopters of the technology. Vertical-specific solutions are increasingly expected. "We are pleased to be one of the industry experts supporting Kaleido Intelligence with this important piece of research. We are excited that our unique offering of a private network that intelligently combines private and public network access and seamless handoff resonates well with enterprise customers who appreciate that the new age of Private 5G networks must extend beyond the campuses and blend into a global connectivity service." Asaf Gigi, VP Marketing, floLIVE Steffen Sorrell, Research Lead at Kaleido Intelligence added, "Connectivity forms a fundamental building block towards generating value for IoT but is often the source of projects failing to scale adequately. This survey aims to uncover what the main connectivity pain points experienced by enterprises are, and how a combination of industry expertise and education can help enterprise customers focus on maximising the value of their IoT data." Join the Webinar The survey findings will be presented and discussed in detail at a webinar discussion on 9th June, presented by Kaleido Intelligence and a range of industry leaders, including FloLIVE, Eseye, iBASIS, KORE Wireless and Truphone.
