Afero platform aims to bring more connectivity and security to IoT

A new platform called Afero has been unveiled in Los Altos in California, aiming to bring greater connectivity and security to the Internet of Things within and outside the home. Afero was introduced by a number of industry veterans from Nest, Apple and Google, while at its helm is Joe Britt, a former Engineering Director of Google Android and a co-founder of Danger, which made the T-Mobile Sidekick smartphone.
