DEWA concludes its participation in 3rd Internet of Things World Forum

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) participated in the 3rd Internet of Things World Forum (IoTWF 2015), held in Dubai under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, in cooperation with Cisco.
IoTWF was held from 6-8 December 2015 in Dubai World Trade Centre. A large number of government leaders and innovators representing different industries around the world took part in the forum.
Participants were from the transportation, oil and gas, service, healthcare, sports, entertainment, education, retail, and government sectors.
Today, there are about 14 billion objects (things) connected to the Internet. They are the basis for the Internet of Everything era, which will significantly change the business world by means of smart networks that connect individuals, operations, data, and objects. Dubai has been selected to host the third Forum, following the second forum in Chicago, to build upon the achievements in infrastructure and system-wide business process solutions, to improve the lives of people.
