Ericsson and PTC Speed App and Service Development for Cellular IoT

Ericsson has set out to make IoT development easier through building collaborative ecosystems, according to a recent announcement. The Ericsson IoT ecosystem reportedly has expanded to include PTC’s ThingWorx, a recent release said, including advanced tools for developing IoT applications and augmented reality (AR) experiences. With the addition of ThingWorx to the Ericsson IoT Accelerator cloud-based platform, the wider IoT market will now have access to applications & AR experience development tools offered by PTC. This combination is good for ecosystem partners as well as customers, bringing together the strong brand and presence of Ericsson and its related solutions in the telco market, with PTC’s strengths and solutions in industrial verticals,“ said Tiago Goncalves, CEO, Innowave. “We have worked with both parties and see this as a complementary partnership.
