Industrial outstrips wearables as key market for IoT developers
Though wearables may have captured the zeitgeist with regard to the Internet of Things, more than half of developers are working on an industrial IoT project. That’s the verdict from Evans Data, which polled IoT developers globally in six languages on a number of IoT areas being targeted. 28% had worked on wearables in the past and were not focusing on them any longer, while developers were very positive about working on the connected home and the connected car in the next 12 months.
