Kaleido Intelligence, a leading connectivity market intelligence and consulting firm, has published the largest-ever survey of IoT connectivity. floLIVE, a leading IoT connectivity provider of advanced 5G network solutions and a full suite of global cellular connectivity services for IoT use cases, both privately and over the cloud, was one of the key industry experts that provided support for the survey commissioned by Kaleido Intelligence.
Over 750 IoT professionals participated in the survey that explored the most important factors for IoT connectivity firms to provide, as well as identifying pain points for both those currently deploying IoT and those looking into it for the future. Topics covered in the survey included how IoT projects are managed, what the biggest concerns are, and what is required from IoT service providers. It was also crucial to examine the drivers for adoption of a range of promising technologies, such as eSIM and Private 5G Networks.
Cellular IoT deployments continue to be issues of concern for businesses, with persistent concerns about security and service availability continuing to plague the space.
End-to-end security ranked a #1 concern by both current and future IoT deployers.
Respondents found it highly important to keep multinational solutions safe from permanent roaming restrictions.
Almost all respondents expected connectivity providers to offer some form of security, with over half wanting advanced options, such as IP restrictions, traffic burst detection, unconfigured ports and more.
Hardware design and support is seen as the biggest challenge by non-adopters of the technology.
Vertical-specific solutions are increasingly expected.

The new Full-color Series integrates two illuminators – warm light and infrared light – with three supplementary light modes to deliver clear and vivid full-color images while avoiding continuous use of warm light, providing a flexible solution for a variety of night and low-light monitoring scenarios.

Adopting deep learning algorithm to accurately detect targets, the Dahua Full-color Smart Dual Illuminators Camera can intelligently switch between the IR mode when there is no target in the scene and Full-color mode when a target is detected. It allows users to record full-color events without contributing to light pollution. Moreover, the illumination mode of the Smart Dual Illuminators can also be adjusted on the DMSS app with a single click, enabling users to remotely manage the device, view the monitored scene and receive timely alarm notifications at anytime, anywhere.
Thanks to its deep learning algorithms, the new Full-color Smart Dual Illuminators Camera also supports AI applications such as SMD Plus, Perimeter Protection and Quick Search, making it easier for users to focus on real threats. In addition, its Smart Codec technology provides a lower bit rate and helps decrease storage costs.
This series is ideal for applications where full-color videos are necessary but don’t need constant use of warm light, such as residential areas, villas, retail stores, schools, hospitals, parks, etc. It is also suitable for indoor scenarios (e.g. corridors and hallways) where lighting is insufficient, and other scenarios that require constant warm light, such as parking lots and streets.
In the future, Dahua Smart Dual Illuminators IP cameras will be equipped with Illumination by Schedule. This function allows different illumination modes to be set according to different time slots to customize the user's own protection plan.

Scope AR today announced the launch of WorkLink IoT, a platform service that enables real-time data connectivity within industrial environments for augmented reality experiences. The service enhances WorkLink, its end-to-end enterprise AR platform, with Internet of Things- (IoT-) enabled devices and real-time data fabrics. The launch marks the first-ever offering of IoT connected data in a no-code AR platform.
