Telstra expands automotive IoT capabilities with acquisition

Australian telecom operator seeks to expand its presence on the internet of things (IoT) market through the acquisition of compatriot firm MTData, a provider of GPS and telematics fleet management solutions. The new acquisition will provide Telstra with the technical capability and software expertise necessary to accelerate its enterprise connected vehicle offering, the telco said.
