The LoRaWAN World Expo Agenda Addresses Business Social Responsibility Needs

The_LoRaWAN_World
The LoRa Alliance, a global trade group that supports the open LoRaWAN standard for the internet of things (IoT) low-power wide-area networks (LPWANs), announced an expanded program for the LoRaWAN World Expo, which will take place July 6-7, 2022, at the Palais des Congrès in Paris. The program’s new additions focus on why LoRaWAN is the premier low-power vast area network (LPWAN) for supporting enterprises’ environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards while also offering a high return on investment (ROI).

Global demand for LoRaWAN solutions has exploded–in part to address ESG requirements. Automated alerts triggered by analysis of the data LoRaWAN collects are creating significant opportunities for resource conservation, predictive maintenance, safety, and waste reduction to improve the efficiencies and effectiveness of our resources. In addition, LoRaWAN is the most widely deployed LPWAN solution because the market trusts the technology, which has global network availability, the ability to roam globally, and delivers considerable cost savings”

Donna Moore, CEO and chairwoman of the LoRa Alliance.

The acceleration of digital transformation, which went from a nice-to-have to a must among corporations and communities worldwide, pushed on by the lesson learned from COVID-19, has fueled LoRaWAN’s expansion. In short, digitalization has become crucial to ensuring safe settings for our residents’ and planet’s health and safety.

While LoRaWAN currently benefits people, the environment, and profits, the LoRa Alliance acknowledges its potential for development. It is pleased to have used this subject in several Expo presentations. According to the World Economic Forum’s Internet of Things Guidelines for Sustainability report, 84 percent of Internet of Things deployments presently target or have the capacity to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Several workshops will address societal issues such as healthcare, elder care, workplace safety, historical preservation, and more. Finally, speakers from think tanks and government agencies such as Arcep, ITU-T, and the European Union Commission for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education, and Youth will discuss crucial considerations for LoRaWAN and its governance.
