Vietnam joined Ericsson to embark the first IoT innovation Hub

The Vietnamese government held the inauguration ceremony of Vietnam’s first Internet of things (IoT) Innovation Hub at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in Hanoi on April 10, 2019 in collaboration with Ericsson, a Swedish leading multinational networking and telecommunications providers. Based on the MoU signed between Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology and Sweden’s Ericsson company on November 28, 2018, the centre was established to provide the platform for startup companies as well as organizations involved in eduation and research to promote IoT technology in Vietnam in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0). In oder to support the operation and development of the centre, cooperation agreement was signed at the opening ceremony between 8 organizations: the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park’s management board, the Ministry of Science and Technology, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), Viettel, FPT University, the University of Engineering and Technology (under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi), the Institute of Information Technology and the Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
