Vodafone and Cradlepoint are Collaborating on a New IoT Joint Business for Global Enterprises

It is also offered under a single contract, logistics, and support model addressing even the most challenging global IoT deployment and management requirements through our joint distributor Westbase.io.

This collaboration between Cradlepoint and Vodafone is designed to fast-track the time to market for business-critical applications and services across several verticals. Examples include manufacturing operations, retail omnichannel operations, freight monitoring and logistics in transportation, Internet of Healthcare Things and telemedicine, remote asset security and smart ATMs in finance, AI, and machine learning across all environments, including intelligent utilities, smart transport, and smart governments.

Smart Home Innovation Set To Accelerate With Matter

Today members showcased their Matter products at a launch event in Amsterdam with a wide array of categories including motion blinds, occupancy sensors, weather devices, smart plugs, door locks, lighting, gateways, platform components, and Matter-based software applications. Since the release, 190 products have received certification or are in queue for testing and certification. The transition from standards development to standards adoption is clearly accelerating, with 4,400 downloads of the new Matter specification since its release and 2,500 downloads of the Matter software development kit (SDK) from GitHub. With the launch of the Matter certification program for both hardware and software products, there are now eight authorized test labs in 16 locations across nine countries, making it easy to bring Matter products to life. Sateliot, the world's first satellite operator to provide standard 5G NB-IoT connectivity, joins IMC

Satellite connectivity provider Sateliot has joined the largest trade organization serving the IoT sector – the IoT M2M Council (IMC) – to raise awareness of its novel technology that seamlessly combines low-earth-orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity with more traditional cellular networks and for the first time in history under standard 5G protocol. Sateliot provides connectivity for off-the-shelf, unmodified 5G NB-IoT devices covering 100% of the Earth. The IMC is comprised of 25,000 product makers/designers and enterprise users that deploy IoT solutions in a wide range of vertical markets around the globe. "Our solution allows the same few-dollars NB-IoT RF module that works over cellular to connect, without any change in hardware, to our constellation of satellites, allowing basically seamless everywhere connectivity" says Sateliot CCO Gianluca Redolfi, who will represent the company on the IMC Board of Governors, "We look at the IMC as an ideal platform to establish thought leadership in crucial vertical markets – IMC membership will drive awareness among buyers of IoT technology."
