The Internet of Things Has Finally Arrived

March 1, 2016

The MPI Internet of Things Study was designed to evaluate the readiness of U.S. manufacturers to incorporate smart devices and embedded intelligence within their plants and processes. We’re particularly interested in executives’ plans to improve business performance via the Internet of Things (IoT) — and for developing and selling products with embedded intelligence. The study looks deeply into how manufacturers will leverage IoT capabilities, along with the challenges they face.

Zeetta Networks

Zeetta Networks is a spin-out company from the University of Bristol focusing in the design, development and marketing of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) solutions. The company’s main product is a Network Operating System (NetOS) software which provides network operators with a centralized view of their extended physical network(s) and enables the construction of virtual “network slices” (i.e. separate logically-isolated sub-networks) which could be leased to Service Providers for the deployment of B2B or B2C services such as Ultra-HD video distribution, City-wide Wi-Fi, Internet of Things (IoT) deployments, etc. Zeetta’s core technology has been developed over the last five years by the High-Performance Group in the University of Bristol as part of European, UK Government and Industry funded research. Zeetta’s NetOS technology is currently used in the Bristol's Horizon2020 REPLICATE Smart City deployment, the first worldwide Smart City deplo

How to meet the IoT security requirements of today and tomorrow

whitePaper | July 4, 2023

Governments around the world are creating Internet of Things (IoT) security legislation and regulations designed to keep users safe in an increasingly connected world. Connectivity is good and, in fact, great but bad things can happen to people with unprotected or poorly protected IoT devices. Failing to meet government regulations or guidelines may lead to the inability to sell products in a region and thus to lost revenue. However, the regulations are constantly in a state of flux. This white paper provides updated background on what governments are suggesting or requiring as well as specific details on how to implement security defenses and obtain security certifications that can satisfy current and even future government requirements

Security Impact of IoT on the Enterprise

whitePaper | November 28, 2019

We are moving to a time where many ‘things’ that we know and use have the capability to be connected to a network either wired or wirelessly. The way we use technology is becoming more integrated in all aspects of our daily lives and is steadily integrating within the enterprise environment. A core concern for businesses is therefore the risk of introducing Internet of Things (IoT) devices to the enterprise.

Transforming Endpoints with Artificial Intelligence

whitePaper | August 5, 2021

There has never been so much compute power available in IoT devices - now is the time to be designing and deploying true intelligence in IoT endpoints. Devices which are aware of their environment are capable of adding huge value to the data they collect and the services which they enable. This paper explores how new and emerging technology can enable your devices to see, hear and feel what is going on, interpret what they sense, take autonomous actions and generate real, trusted, valued data for the cloud. Recent developments in hardware and software will enable a step change in the capability of resource-constrained endpoint platforms, allowing developers to build vision, voice and vibration capability, coupled with genuine intelligence at the endpoint.
