The Internet of Things is still in its infancy, and it will take years before it becomes a part of our daily lives. Significant challenges still remain before the IoT can fulfill its promise to revolutionize the lives of its users—particularly users with disabilities. Many factors will have to evolve, including guidelines for standardization and inteoperatiblity of devices, the extension of broadband internet networks, protection of privacy.
