Wi-Fi- based Indoor Positioning System Using Smartphones

January 22, 2018

The demand for Indoor Location Based Services (LBS) is increasing over the past years as smartphone market expands. There's a growing interest in developing efficient and reliable indoor positioning systems for mobile devices. Smartphone users can get their fixed locations according to the function of the GPS receiver. This is the primary reason why there is a hugen demand for real-time location information of mobile users. However, the GPS receiver is often not effective in indoor environments due to signal attenuation, even as the major positioning devices have a powerful accuracy for outdoor positioning.

Cognitive Twins for Supporting Decision-Makings of Internet of Things Systems

whitePaper | December 3, 2019

Internet of things (IoT) is a network of items embedded with sensors which are connected through the internet [1]. One IoT system consists of computing devices, physical plants and networks defined as a system-of-systems (SoS) [2]. During developing IoT systems, architectural dependencies across the entire SoS are challenged because of the massive compositions among them.

The Right Approach to Zero Trust for IoT Devices

whitePaper | May 18, 2022

Networking and security teams have historically relied on protections at the network perimeter to secure the entire enterprise. The internal network was deemed trusted and secure. While everything outside was considered “dirty,” everything on the internal network was considered “clean,” and application traffic would flow unrestricted. However, recent and developing shifts in enterprise working models are having a far-reaching effect on the traditionally managed network perimeter for security.
